Clinic

Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation provides comprehensive, high quality, culturally appropriate primary health care and community services. This is delivered via the provision of annual health checks designed to identify health problems early and provide pathways to treatment and care. For clients with chronic health problems Care Plans are developed and reviewed regularly to enable best practice treatment.  Our clinics are guided by an "Aboriginal Health Worker first contact" policy, so clients are seen by an Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner. To provide quality professional care all health workers are persuing registration with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation clinic is accredited under The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Our Aboriginal Health Workers act as a cultural interface between clients and GP's, and are essential in ensuring culturally appropriate treatment and care. In addition to being medically trained, our Aboriginal Health Workers know their communities and help make clients feel more comfortable, and doctors get the best information about clients.

If you would like to see a GP or speak to an Aboriginal Health Worker please call 86429929 to make an appointment.
